While on a road trip last week, me and my friend Christa stopped by the Collin Street Bakery to check it out. They are famous for there fruit cakes. I have never been a fan of fruit cake but believe me this bakery has so much more. I was overwhelmed by all the goodies as I walked in. Home made cookies, pastrys and breads were everywhere lol. I purchased some Bacon Cheddar Bread, and believe me it is delicious. With bits of bacon and cheese, its great for making grilled cheese sandwiches. If you live in central TX check out the Collin Street Bakery, or there website you will love it. Now on to the recipe:
Bacon Cheddar Bread Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Bacon Cheddar Bread
Butter
Velveeta Cheese Slices
Melt butter in skillet. Place Velveeta cheese slices on bread and toast
until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted. Great with tomato
soup.. yum!
That sounds so good!! I make grilled cheese at least once a week...love it with tomato sliced on it!
